Modern stadiums enforce strict security and fire safety regulations. Spending weeks designing a massive tifo only to have it confiscated at the gates is an ultras group's worst nightmare. At Ultrasshop.com, we provide stadium-approved, B1-certified materials. Understanding these standards ensures your display gets to the terraces without a problem.
What is a B1 Flame-Retardant Certificate?
In Europe, the B1 standard (DIN 4102-1) is the benchmark for fire safety. Materials classified as B1 are difficult to ignite and self-extinguishing.
If a flare or pyro drops on a B1-certified flag, the fabric will not burst into flames. Instead, it melts and stops the fire from spreading. This is why UEFA and stadium security demand B1 certification for large-scale choreographies.
Stadium-Approved Equipment
Custom Stadium Flags: All our printed flags (sector, fence, and stick flags) use fabrics with official B1 flame-retardant certificates.
Flag Fabric Rolls: Our 60 g/m² polyester fabric for DIY choreographies also meets B1 safety standards, perfect for official fan displays.
PVC Flag Poles: We strictly use 20 mm PVC sticks. Unlike wooden poles, they don't splinter and are universally accepted by stadium security.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get a safety certificate for my custom sector flag?
Yes. Since we manufacture using B1-certified materials, we can provide documentation for your order to present to stadium security.
Why are PVC flag poles safer than wooden ones?
PVC poles are flexible and do not splinter into sharp pieces. Wooden poles are banned in most modern stadiums as they can be used as weapons.
Are your metallised foil sheets safe?
Yes. Our 50 x 70 cm foil sheets are designed specifically for stadium mosaics and are widely approved across Europe.
